Once more our weekend kicked off with a launch, this time for our brand-new 2026 Valvoline livery featured on Dan Cammish and Sam Osborne’s cars. Inspired by Jess Hawkins’ Valvoline NASCAR from an event in 2024, the striking livery was incredibly well received by fans, and the limited-edition caps flew off the shelves in the NAPA Shop!

Despite being in the faster Qualifying group, where multiple drivers carried more boost, the Race to Pole saw Sutton, Cammish and Osborne securing top-ten starting positions with fourth, fifth and ninth respectively. Another stellar showing from Selby meant he would’ve likely joined his team-mates further up the grid, but contact pushed him back to 17th. With mostly strong positions, the team looked towards every chance of success come race day!

The team’s forward momentum carried into the opening race on Sunday. Sutton swept his way from the second row to finish second, with Cammish claiming fourth after a late and daring pass on ex-teammate Rowbottom. That left the Valvoline liveried driver in a brilliant position come Race 2, being the leading driver on the faster medium tyre. Selby made progress through the grid to finish inside the points with a P14, whilst Sam Osborne’s Sunday started with a technical problem which the team quickly fixed.

Race 2 saw Dan Cammish take advantage of his medium tyre choice, converting P4 into a brilliant race win and pushing him a point ahead of Tom Ingram in the Drivers’ Standings. Sutton joined him on the podium, his second trip to the rostrum of the day and extending his lead in the championship even further. Selby put in another spirited showing and, but for a ten-second penalty due to a false start, would have been a contender for the reverse grid draw. An unrelated issue for Osborne left him on the sidelines once again.

In Race 3, Sutton rounded out another strong showing with fifth. Equally impressive was Selby, who rallied after his earlier frustrations to move through the order and take P12. After hard work from the crew on Osborne’s car, he was able to make it back out and, in similar style to Selby, charged through the field as high as P14 to end the day, ahead of Cammish – ensuring all four NAPA Racing UK cars ended the day in the points.

NAPA Racing UK next head to Croft Circuit on 5th-6th September. The team heads into the weekend continuing to lead the Teams’ and Manufacturers Championships, alongside Ash Sutton leading the Drivers’ Championship by 98 points. Dan Cammish sits in third, just 5 points behind Tom Ingram. In the Jack Sears Trophy, Lewis Selby made places and left the weekend in third place, with Osborne fifth.

RACE TO POLE (20 Laps)

The Race To Pole was a 17-lap race to determine the grid for Sunday’s main racing at this short circuit, and all drivers were booted with the soft tyre compound. Dan Cammish had five seconds per lap of boost available, while Ash Sutton had just the solitary second per lap available. Both Sam Osborne and Lewis Selby had twenty seconds per lap at their disposal.

The start saw all four Napa Racing UK Ford Focus Titaniums gain places, as the Safety Car was deployed due to Josh Cook crashing out of the contest. That meant that we’d have a 20-lap race, which restarted on the seventh lap.

Both Cammish and Sutton got by the Audi A3 Saloon of Dexter Patterson as rain began to fall. By lap nine, the Napa Racing UK duo found themselves stuck in a train behind the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N of Tom Ingram, Mikey Doble (Audi A3 Saloon), and the Restart Racing Hyundia i30N of James Dorlin. Further back saw Osborne and Selby stuck behind Aron Taylor-Smith and Dexter Patterson, before Lewis Gilbert (WSR BMW 330i M Sport) got by Selby on lap thirteen.

Up ahead saw Cammish follow Ingram to get by Dorlin’s Hyundia i30N at Clark’s corner, but Sutton couldn’t make his move on the Restart Racing driver through Hislops stick, so settled in behind until another opportunity presented itself.

Dorlin’s superior boost helped him to get by Cammish on the pit straight (lap 14), however, both Cammish and Sutton overtook the Hyundia on the run through Duffus Dip and Leslie’s. Meanwhile, Selby got by his teammate Osborne at Taylor’s Hairpin on lap 16, before Ryan Bensley (Speedworks Corolla Racing Toyota Corolla GR Sport) overtook the number 77 Ford Focus Titanium at Duffus Dip on the next lap. Osborne did return the favour on Bensley on the pit straight to claim 18th place on the last lap, while Selby finished 17th, Sutton 11th, and Cammish 10th on what was a difficult Saturday for the Napa Racing UK drivers.

RACE 1 (27 Laps)

The first race of Sunday saw the majority of the grid on the wet tyres due to rain. That included the Napa Racing UK Fords, which lined up in 10th (Cammish), 11th (Sutton), 17th (Selby), and 18th (Osborne). Both Sam Osborne and Lewis Selby had the full allocation of ten laps of boost available, while Dan Cammish had five laps and Ash Sutton just the one lap at his disposal for this 24-lap race.

Despite visibility being a challenge, all four Ford Focus Titaniums got off the line well as the lights went out. By the start of the second lap Ash Sutton had risen to ninth, but Dan Cammish had dropped back to 11th place. Sam Osborne was up to 15th, while Lewis Selby had fallen down to nineteenth place in this fiercely competitive BTCC field.

Sutton got by the Audi A3 Saloon of Mikey Doble at Leslie’s to begin fighting with the BMW 330i M Sport of Daryl De Leon, Chris Smiley’s Restart Racing Hyundia i30N, and the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N of Tom Ingram on the run through Taylor’s Hairpin. Dan Cammish meanwhile was keeping a watching brief behind.

Cammish relieved Doble of ninth place on lap four, while Sutton got by De Leon on the line to begin lap five in 6th place. Further back, Osborne got by James Dorlin to take 14th place on the run down Hislops and, by the end of the next lap, he’d find himself up in 12th. Unfortunately, Cammish was then hit with a 10-second penalty for a false start which ended any possibility of him reaching the podium.

Sutton was now embroiled in a battle with the BMW 330i M Sport of Charles Rainford and the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N of Ricky Collard for fourth place, and he got by Rainford on the run through Clark’s and Hislops (lap 8). He then took fourth away from Collard with a brilliant move through Leslie’s on the 10th lap. And now in clear air, he took the fastest lap away from teammate Cammish (lap 11).

Cammish meanwhile remained in his position, as he was stuck behind Tom Ingram and Charles Rainford. Sam Osborne was also stuck in his position at this point (lap 8), while Lewis Selby was fighting with the Toyota Corolla GR Sport of Josh Cook further back. He did claim 18th place when Chris Smiley was pushed off wide earlier in the lap though, before both he and Osborne were promoted a place when Rainford had to pit his BMW 330i M Sport (lap 15).

Lap seventeen saw the Safety Car deployed after Cook had pushed Lewis Gilbert (WSR BMW 330i M Sport) off and out of the race, which promoted Selby another place to just outside the points. The race resumed on lap 23 of what would now be a 27-lap race and, when De Leon understeered wide while exiting Butcher’s, Osborne was promoted to 12th place on the penultimate lap.

Sutton took the chequered flag in a solid fourth place, while Cammish finished 7th on the road. Sadly his penalty dropped him down to 18th place, while Osborne and Selby finished 10th and 14th respectively.

RACE 2 (27 Laps)

The second 24-lap race saw a virtually dry track and all four Napa Racing UK Fords on the soft tyres. Ash Sutton started 4th (with 7 laps of boost available), Sam Osborne started 10th (with 14 laps of boost).  Lewis Selby was 13th on the grid (with 14 laps of boost), while Dan Cammish started down in 18th (with 14 laps of boost).

Ash Sutton got away well to snatch third place off of Gordon Shedden (Toyota Corolla GR Sport), before the Safety Car was deployed for the stricken Audi A3 Saloon of Aiden Moffat. The other three Ford Focus Titaniums all climbed the field at the start, with Osborne up to 7th, Selby in 12th, and Cammish right behind him in 13th place.

Racing resumed on lap six of what would now be a 27-lap race, and on the run through McIntyre’s, Sutton got past the Plato Racing Mercedes A35 Saloon of Dan Rowbottom on the next lap. Osborne was looking particularly feisty as he battled with the Audi A3 Saloons of Dexter Patterson and Mikey Doble, while Cammish and Selby got by Aron Taylor-Smith (Toyota Corolla GR Sport) and Josh Cook (Speedworks Corolla Racing Toyota Corolla GR Sport) respectively.

Laps nine and ten saw Sam Osborne lose out to De Leon and his teammate Dan Cammish, before Lewis Selby lost out to the BMW 330i M Sport of Charles Rainford on the next lap. Up front meanwhile, Ash Sutton pulled out to break late to take the lead of the race away from Adam Morgan (Plato Racing Mercedes A35 Saloon) on the entrance to Taylor’s Hairpin.

With a ten-car train stuck behind the Toyota Corolla GR Sport of Gordon Shedden, Osborne would drop behind De Leon, Taylor-Smith, and Rainford as cars began tripping over each other (lap 12). But both he and teammate Selby did get back past Chris Smiley and Aron Taylor-Smith two laps later.

With Cammish getting bottled up behind the Audi A3 Saloon of Dexter Patterson, Rainford got a good launch out of the hairpin to overtake the number 27 Ford Focus Titanium on the run up the pit straight (lap 17), before Smiley tried to get by Cammish on the 22nd lap as well, only to crash out of the race with a broken left front! Thus, prompting another Safety Car intervention on the next lap.

Racing resumed on the penultimate lap, leaving the field to fight it out in a one-lap dash to the finish. Sutton took the chequered flag to secure his seventh win of the season as well as the fastest lap. Meanwhile, his teammates all finished line asturn, with Cammish finishing 9th, Osborne 10th, and Selby 11th. Ash Sutton’s victory was the 54th of his career, which ties him with Gordon Shedden in the all-time winners list.

RACE 3 (24 Laps)

The final race of the weekend was the usual Reversed Grid Race. This 24-lapper saw the Napa Racing UK drivers all on the medium tyre compound, while three of them had the full allocation of 14 laps of boost available to them. Ash Sutton was the odd man out with just four laps of boost at his disposal.

They lined up with Lewis Selby in second place, Sam Osborne third, Dan Cammish fourth, and Ash Sutton in 12th as the sun was shining for the weekend’s curtain closer.

They all got away well at the start to maintain position, except Sutton who’d already jumped up into ninth place. Cammish would get by Osborne at the Taylor’s Hairpin on lap three, before the number 77 Ford slid off into the gravel after a little tap from Dexter Patterson at McIntyre’s (lap 5). Osborne would then pit before enduring a rather lonely race to take the chequered flag in 21st place.

Both Cammish and Selby lost out to the soft-tyred Mercedes A35 Saloon of Adam Morgan on laps seven and nine respectively, but Cammish did get by his teammate Selby as well (lap 9). Unfortunately the next lap was a difficult one for the Napa Racing UK crew, as Selby lost out to Dexter Patterson and Charles Rainford, while Sutton got bullied by Daryl De Leon, Josh Cook, Mikey Doble, and Tom Ingram, before then losing out to Aiden Moffat’s Audi A3 Saloon on the pit straight (lap 11)!

By lap twelve the championship leader found himself to be the meat in a Restart Racing sandwich, as both Chris Smiley and James Dorlin force their way past the Ford Focus Titanium on the pit straight. Sutton was having none of it though, and he returned the favour on Dorlin on the run through the Butcher’s and Black Circles Chicane complex.

Lewis Selby lost out to Dan Rowbottom, Daryl De Leon, and Josh Cook (lap 14), before defending desperately from the fast Hyundias of Ricky Collard and Tom Ingram (lap 16). Collard eventually got by the Ford at Duffus Dip on the next lap, but Selby put in a superb defensive drive to keep Ingram at bay! But he eventually lost out to the championship challenger on the next lap, which also saw Mikey Doble get by as well.

Ash Sutton got past the Audi A3 Saloon of Aiden Moffat on lap nineteen, before getting by Selby on the run down Hislops and into the Taylor’s Hairpin on the next lap. The Napa Racing UK duo had ran out of boost by this point, which meant they’d make no further progress up the field.

Meanwhile, Dan Cammish remained in third place and was chasing after Adam Morgan and Tom Chilton. And that’s where he’d finish to take the chequered flag to score a solid podium position. Ash Sutton finished in 12th, with Lewis Selby fending off the Restart Racing duo to finish behind his teammate in 13th. Sam Osborne recovered from his earlier excursion to finish 21st.

As the dust settled in Scotland, Ash Sutton remains at the summit of the Drivers’ Championship table with 327 points. Dan Cammish remains third with 233 points, while Sam Osborne is 18th (54 points) and Lewis Selby 20th (27 points).

Alliance Racing/Ford lead the race for the Manufacturers/Constructors Championship with 564 points, while Napa Racing UK lead the Teams Championship with 493 points.

The Jack Sears Trophy table sees Sam Osborne in third place with 208 points, while Lewis Selby is right behind his teammate in fourth with 206 points.

Race Two (Round 13)

The first 20-minute Power Maxed MINI Challenge Series race of Sunday saw Cameron Richardson start ninth and Joe Tanner line up in 15th place. Most of the grid were booted with the intermediate tyres, but Tanner was one of a few who pitted on the formation laps to gamble on slick tyres. It was a move that meant he’d start from the back of the grid.

Richardson got himself up into 8th by the end of the opening lap, but Tanner remained at the back as he struggled to get heat into his slick tyres. Jamsport Racing UK driver Archie Johnson got by Richardson on the run through Clark’s on the second lap to leave the Napa Racing UK racer to fight it out with Nathan Edwards (EXCLER8 Driver Development Programme) and Will Crooks (EXCLER8 Motorsport). Meanwhile, Tanner was down in 19th and chasing EXCLER8 Motorsport driver Olivier Algieri.

The fourth lap saw Richardson lose out to Edwards on the run through McIntyre’s, Butcher’s, and the Black Circles Chicane complex, before Harry Hicton (EXCLER8 Driver Development Programme) got by on lap seven. But, the Napa Racing UK driver returned the favour through Hislops two laps later, while Tanner had climbed up to 17th by lap 11.

By lap thirteen both Hicton and Crooks had got past Richardson, leaving him to fight the incoming Algieri. That was a short-lived fight though, as the EXCLER8 Motorsport driver got by quickly. Yet Richardson was back up another spot on the next lap, after Crooks ran wide at Duffus Dip before a good move up the inside at the same corner on lap 17 put Richardson back up into 11th place.

As the chequered flag flew on lap twenty, Cameron Richardson finished ninth after Sam Gornall (Pro Alloys Racing) had dropped out of the race and Olivier Algieri received a penalty. Joe Tanner meanwhile finished in a frustrating sixteenth.

Race Three (Round 14)

The final 20-minute Power Maxed MINI Challenge Series race of the weekend saw the Napa Racing UK duo start in 12th (Joe Tanner) and 14th (Cameron Richardson) of the grid. Both MINIs got away well, with Tanner climbing up into ninth and Richardson up a spot in 13th by the start of the second lap.

However, while battling with Charlie Hand (BPC Motorsport) on lap two, Tanner lost out to Harry Campey (EXCLER8 Motorsport) on the run down Hislops to complete the move into Taylor’s Hairpin. Two laps later saw the Safety Car deployed after Gerry Hendry got beached in the gravel. The marshals helped Hendry to get going again and racing was able to continue on lap six.

Both Napa Racing UK MINIs were promoted up a place each when Sam Gornall pulled off the circuit with a problem (lap 8), before EXCLER8 Driver Development Programme driver Josh Porter got past Tanner as they sped down Hislops two laps later. It got worse for Tanner afterwards, as he was hit with a 5-second penalty for exceeding track limits (lap 12). He then found himself down in tenth place after Pro Alloys Racing driver Ned Anthony got by at the end of the lap.

With Tanner suffering from his misfortune, Richardson had climbed back into the top ten after Charlie Hand dropped out with an overheating engine. Sadly by lap 16, Tanner had also dropped out of the race to leave Richardson to fly the Napa Racing UK flag for the remainder of the race. And he went on to finish in tenth place on the road, which became ninth after Olivier Algieri received a penalty.

As the sun began to set on Knockhill, the Napa Racing UK MINI duo were lined together in the JCW Drivers Championship. Cameron Richardson sits in 11th place with 347 points, while Joe Tanner sits behind him in 12th with 318 points.

Tanner sits in third place of the JCW Directors Cup table with 524 points, while Napa Racing UK occupies fifth place in the JCW Teams Championship with 665 points.

RACE 1 (16 Laps)

Sunday’s opening race saw Ash Sutton start in third place with one lap of boost available. Behind him were teammates Dan Cammish (4th with three laps of boost), Senna Proctor (5th with ten laps of boost), and Lewis Selby (16th with ten laps of boost).

Both Sutton and Cammish got good launches when the lights went out, but Proctor bogged down at the start. However, the number 18 Ford Focus Titanium recovered well to start lap two in fourth place. Sutton and Cammish took the fight to Josh Cook (Speedworks Corolla GR Sport) and Tom Ingram (Team Vertu Hyundia i30N), with Sutton making a brilliant move on the latter on the run through Noble to take second place. Meanwhile, Selby lost out to the Power Maxed Racing Audi A3 Saloon of Aiden Moffat to start the second lap in 17th.

Dan Cammish had to take action to avoid Ingram, who’d gone off at Goodwood, to start lap two in fifth place, right behind teammate Senna Proctor. Further back, Lewis Selby was struggling and lost out to the Team Vertu duo of Tom Chilton and Ricky Collard. But he was back up in 18th place, after Gordon Shedden (Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport Toyota Corolla GR Sport) fell down the field on the sixth lap.

By lap nine, Ash Sutton had closed to within 0.7-seconds of leader Josh Cook’s Toyota Corolla GR Sport, while Senna Proctor remained within touching distance of the Plato Racing Mercedes A35 Saloon of Dan Rowbottom. Dan Cammish was defending vigorously from the recovering Tom Ingram and Adam Morgan, while Lewis Selby was driving his own race in 18th.

The following lap saw Ingram get by Cammish with an excellent pass on the run through the Campbell, Cobb, and Seagrave complex. Adam Morgan tried to take advantage too, but Cammish put in a brilliant defensive drive through Goodwood and Village to thwart the Plato Racing driver.

Sadly, the number 27 Ford Focus Titanium had run out of boost by lap eleven leaving Cammish powerless to keep Morgan at bay. Subsequently, he dropped down to seventh at Club, which is where he’d finish the race.

Ash Sutton took the chequered flag in second to secure yet another podium finish, as Senna Proctor’s impressive drive saw him finish in fourth place. Lewis Selby finished in 17th, after the Hyundia i30N of Ricky Collard was hit with a penalty for exceeding track limits.

RACE 2 (16 Laps)

The start of the second race saw all drivers remain on the hard tyres, as the Napa Racing UK Ford Focus Titaniums lined up on the grid in second (Ash Sutton), fourth (Senna Proctor), seventh (Dan Cammish), and 18th (Lewis Selby). Selby was the only Ford equipped with the full ten laps of boost, while Cammish had eight, Proctor had four, and Sutton had two laps at his disposal.

Selby’s start was aided by Aiden Moffat dropping to the back of the grid after encountering a problem on the formation lap. Selby made a good start to remain in 17th place while up ahead, Sutton got away well to take the lead of the race away from the Toyota of Josh Cook on the run up Brooklands. Cammish finished the opening lap in sixth place, while Proctor was directly behind the number 27 Ford.

Lap two saw the Restart Racing Hyundia i30N of James Dorlin get by Proctor, before Gordon Shedden overtook Selby on the next lap. Up ahead though saw Cammish get by the Plato Racing Mercedes of Adam Morgan at Club to take fifth place.

Mikey Doble (Audi A3 Saloon) got by Senna Proctor on the run through Brooklands and into the Club chicane to drop the number 18 Ford down to ninth on lap four, before the Ford was tagged from behind on the following lap to spin off track and down into fifteenth place! Sadly, that’s where Proctor would finish this race as he took the chequered flag three places ahead of teammate Selby (18th).

Dan Cammish pulled off a superb pass on the outside of the Plato Racing Mercedes of Dan Rowbottom at Club to claim fourth on lap seven. Cammish would go on to swarm all over the rear bumper of Cook’s Toyota Corolla GR Sport for the final podium spot. And he did claim that podium place at the chequered flag, after Tom Ingram received a penalty for exceeding track limits.

Meanwhile, Ash Sutton took another victory to maintain his superb record this season, as he continued to stretch his lead in the Drivers’ Championship table.

RACE 3 (19 Laps)

The third and final race of the weekend at Thruxton was the usual Reversed Grid Race. The Napa Racing UK Ford Focus Titaniums lined up on the grid as follows: Dan Cammish (4th, with three laps of boost available), Ash Sutton (6th, with one lap of boost available), Senna Proctor (15th, with ten laps of boost available), and Lewis Selby (18th, with ten laps of boost available).

Once again, all four Napa Racing UK Fords got away well with Sutton getting the better of Josh Cook swiftly. Both Sutton and Cammish got by the Plato Racing Mercedes of Rowbottom on the run through Goodwood and Village, as the duo entered Church corner in third (Cammish) and fourth (Sutton). The latter then got a good run on his teammate Cammish to take third place at the Club chicane in what was a lively first lap.

Further back, Proctor had jumped up into eighth place while Selby found himself inside the points paying positions (15th) by the end of the opening lap.

However, racing was interrupted by the Safety Car at the start of lap two after several cars had come together. Sadly, Lewis Selby’s Ford Focus Titanium was one of the victims, with what appeared to be a broken rear toe link ending his race prematurely.

Racing eventually resumed on the ninth (of now 19) lap with Sutton third, Cammish fourth, and Proctor eighth. On the exit of Church, Sutton got a great run to take second place away from James Dorlin (Restart Racing Hyundia i30N).

Dan Cammish then took third away from the Restart Racing driver on the inside of the pit straight on the following lap, while Senna Proctor overtook Gordon Shedden (Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport Toyota Corolla GR Sport) before the Club chicane. Proctor followed that up by getting by Rowbottom on lap eleven, then Dorlin on the exit of Church to take fifth place before the end of lap twelve.

The three remaining Ford Focus Titaniums ran to the end of the race to take the chequered flag in second (Ash Sutton), third (Dan Cammish), and fifth places (Senna Proctor) in what were a (relatively) quiet remaining laps in what had been a brilliant race for the Napa Racing UK/Alliance Racing squad.

As the dust settled on another thrilling BTCC spectacle at Thruxton, Ash Sutton remains at the helm of the Drivers’ Championship table with 284 points. Dan Cammish sits in third with 208 points, while Senna Proctor jumped straight into 19th with 31 points. He is flanked by the remaining Napa Racing UK drivers on either side, with Sam Osborne in 18th with 42 points, and Lewis Selby in 20th with 17 points.

Alliance Racing/Ford lead the Manufacturer/Constructors table with 483 points, as well as the Teams’ table with 430 points.

Sam Osborne’s absence meant that he lost ground in the Jack Sears Trophy, as he dropped to fourth place with 166 points. Meanwhile, Lewis Selby occupies fifth with his tally of 159 points.

Race One (Round 10)

Saturday’s un-televised Round Ten saw Napa Racing UK’s Joe Tanner execute a superb drive to finish on the podium in the first twenty-minute Power Maxed MINI Challenge race at Oulton Park.

Having picked up splitter damage during the opening exchanges, Tanner drove an excellent defensive race to keep the EXCLER8 Driver Development Programme MINI of Tom Ovenden behind, as he took the chequered flag in second place behind Sam Gornall (Pro Alloys Racing).

Cam Richardson finished in a solid seventh place, behind Olivier Algieri (EXCLER8 Motorsport) and in front of the Pro Alloys Racing MINI of Max Edmundson.

Race Two (Round 11)

Sunday’s second Power Maxed MINI Challenge race (Round 11) saw Joe Tanner start on the second row (third), while Cam Richardson lined up his number 15 Napa Racing UK MINI in eleventh.

The latter held position at the start of this twenty-minute race, which served up thirteen laps of exciting MINI racing. He was fighting hard with Archie Johnson, until the Jamsport Racing UK driver slithered wide at Lodge Corner to promote Richardson into the top ten.

Meanwhile, Tanner also got away well to get ahead of the Pro Alloys Racing MINI of Sam Gornall at Old Hall Corner, only to lose out to the number 96 at Cascades to start lap two in third.

Charlie Hand (BPC Motorsport) was proving to be quite a handful in Tanner’s mirrors and, when Gornall pushed race leader Josh Porter (EXCLER8 Driver Development Programme) off at Lodge Corner on the fourth lap, Hand snuck his MINI by the number 11 racer of Tanner.

The Napa Racing UK driver continued to chase Hand’s BPC Motorsport machine, but ultimately had to settle for a second podium (3rd place) finish of his weekend.

Cam Richardson, meanwhile, chased after eighth place throughout the remainder of the race and was rewarded for his efforts when the Pro Alloys Racing MINI of Max Edmundson locked up and went off the track at Island Bend.

After a solid weekend’s racing from both Napa Racing UK MINI drivers, Joe Tanner leads his teammate in the JCW Drivers’ Championship with 278 points to 269 points… that translates to eleventh place for Tannner and twelfth place for Richardson.

Tanner occupies second place in the JCW Directors Cup with 450 points, while Napa Racing UK sits in fifth place of the JCW Teams’ Championship with 547 points.

The Power Maxed MINI Challenge series now takes its mid-summer break, and will return to action at Knockhill on the 8-9th of August.

RACE TO POLE (13 Laps)

The Race To Pole saw all drivers using the soft tyre compound for this 13-lap dash. Despite Lewis dropping a place at the start, the Napa Racing UK Ford Focus Titaniums got away well, with Sutton and Osborne jumping up a spot each by the time the field reached the Island Bend hairpin. Osborne was then promoted an additional spot when Tom Chilton’s Team Vertu Hyundia i30N spun off at that hairpin, which also promoted Selby up into seventeenth.

Up front, Cammish kept his second place at the  start and was right on the bumper of Aron Taylor-Smith’s Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport Toyota Corolla GR Sport. He was also defending hard in an effort to keep another Toyota behind him by the second lap (Josh Cook, Speedworks Corolla Racing Toyota Corolla GR Sport)!

With all four Ford Focus Titaniums deep in their respective battles, the Safety Car was deployed on the second lap, after Nic Hamilton (Team Vertu Hyundia i30N) crashed out at Island Bend. Thankfully Nic was alright, and racing resumed on the sixth (of now 13) lap. Chilton got the better of Selby’s Ford, while further up ahead saw Sutton pull off a great move on the outside of Mikey Doble (LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing Audi A3 Saloon) on the run up Hill Top, before slotting his Ford into fourth before Hislops.

Lap nine saw Osborne have a huge sideways moment on the grass down The Avenue and into Cascades, but he pulled off a superb save despite dropping behind teammate Selby in 16th. Up at the front saw Cammish’s Ford the meat in a Toyota Corolla sandwich (Taylor-Smith and Cook), as the trio fought for the win, while being chased by Sutton and the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N of Tom Ingram.

Sam Osborne’s earlier excursion meant that the  number 77 Ford Focus Titanium picked up a problem, which forced him into the pits. Osborne did return to action, as he took the chequered flag in a rather lonely 18th. Lewis Selby finished three places ahead in fifteenth, while a five-second penalty for Aron Taylor-Smith further up the grid had positive repercussions for the remaining two Napa Racing UK drivers, with Ash Sutton finishing in third place, and teammate Dan Cammish taking the victory.

RACE 1 (16 Laps)

Like the previous day, Sunday’s opening race took place on a drying track in Cheshire. Both Lewis Selby (14th) and Sam Osborne (18th) had the full ten laps worth of boost available to them, while Ash Sutton (3rd) had just the one lap available. Pole sitter Dan Cammish had four laps worth of boost at his disposal, and all four Napa Racing UK Ford Focus Titaniums were on the soft tyre compound.

The quartet got off the line well, with Ash Sutton getting alongside Josh Cook’s Toyota Corolla GR Sport on the run through Old Hall Corner and The Avenue. However, he got turned sideways by Cook at Cascades, but his efforts to save the car were successful despite the number 116 Ford dropping down to ninth by Island Bend.

While Cammish led up front, Sutton swiftly dispatched the trio of Dexter Patterson (Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing Audi A3 Saloon), and the LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing Audi A3 Saloon duo of Aiden Moffat and Mikey Doble to climb up to sixth by the second tour of Cascades. Meanwhile, Lewis Selby was forced onto the grass by Patterson where he spun into the barrier. Selby did manage to drive the number 15 Ford back to the pits, as teammate Sam Osborne finds himself down in eighteenth when the Safety Car was deployed.

Racing resumed on the fifth lap of what would now be a sixteen-lap race, which saw Cammish get away from Josh Cook well while Sutton fought with the Plato Racing Mercedes A35 Saloon of Adam Morgan and Moffat’s Audi A3 Saloon. But the duo got by the championship leader when he had to take to the grass at Hislops.

Osborne got by the Plato Racing Mercedes A35 Saloon of Dan Rowbottom at Old Hall Corner on lap 8, before climbing to 15th at the expense of the luckless Morgan on the next lap. The number 77 Ford Focus Titanium then got by the WSR BMW 330i M Sport of Charles Rainford on the tenth lap, while Sutton continued to chase the Audi A3 pair up ahead.

Up front, Dan Cammish opened up a gap on the Toyota Corolla GR Sport of Josh Cook and the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N of Tom Ingram, as the number 27 Napa Racing UK Ford set the fastest lap (lap 11). Cammish went on to win his first race of the season, as Ash Sutton took the chequered flag in seventh. Sam Osborne claimed thirteenth and three championship points, while Lewis Selby had retired from the race.

RACE 2 (15 Laps)

Race Two saw Cammish starting on Pole Position, with Sutton starting 7th, Osborne 13th, and Selby at the back of the grid. Both he and Osborne had ten laps of boost available, while Sutton had eight laps available and Cammish just the one lap. Aside from the number 27 Ford that was on hard tyres, the remaining trio were all booted with the soft tyre compound.

Three of the four Fords made early progress at the start, with Cammish holding the lead as Sutton launched by three cars to find himself in fifth place at Old Hall Corner! Further back saw Selby get by Adam Morgan and the Toyota Corolla GR Sport (Speedworks Corolla Racing) of Max Buxton, but Osborne found himself going backwards by three places.

Sutton was a man on a mission though, as he swiftly got by Josh Cook’s Toyota on the run through Druids, Warwick Bridge, and Lodge Corner, before claiming third place when Aron Taylor-Smith (Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport Toyota Corolla GR Sport) ran wide at Island Bend on the second lap.

Lewis Selby passed the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N of Nic Hamilton, before Sutton got a great run down The Avenue to take second place away from Tom Ingram at Dentons. The number 116 Ford then got by the hard-tyred Ford of teammate Cammish to take the lead at Lodge Corner in what was a busy opening three laps for Sutton.

By lap five, the recovering Osborne was making progress after getting by James Dorlin (Restart Racing Hyundia i30N) to chase after Rowbottom’s 13th placed Plato Racing Mercedes A35 Saloon, while Selby was now up into sixteenth and looking for a points-paying position.

Osborne got by Rowbottom at Island Bend on lap six, before getting a great run on the Toyota of Cook up Hill Top to slot into twelfth place at Hislops. Up front meanwhile, Sutton continued to drive clear as Cammish defended the ever-increasing advances of Ingram’s Hyundia. The current champion did eventually claim second place, when he sent his Hyundia down the inside of the number 27 Ford Focus Titanium at Lodge Corner with three laps remaining.

Osborne was having a terrific ding-dong with the Restart Racing Hyundia i30N of Chris Smiley through the Island Bend, Hill Top, and Hislops section, as both drivers get by the WSR BMW 330i M Sport of Charles Rainford on the run through Deer Leap on lap eleven.

Sam Osborne finally got by Smiley on the run down Lakeside on the final lap to take eleventh place at the chequered flag. Lewis Selby finished 15th, as Ash Sutton took another victory and Dan Cammish finished in a well-deserved third place.

RACE 3 (18 Laps)

The final race of the weekend was the usual Reversed Grid Race, which saw Sam Osborne placed on the front row of the grid (second). He had the full quota of ten laps worth of boost available to him, but like both Ash Sutton and Lewis Selby, he was now on the less-favoured hard tyres. Dan Cammish started ninth with the soft tyres and three laps of boost, while Sutton was down in 11th place with one lap of boost and Selby would start in fourteenth (with ten laps of boost at his disposal).

Osborne got away well only to be bullied out of second place by the lively Charles Rainford at Old Hall Corner. However the Safety Car was deployed, after Aron Taylor-Smith lost his Toyota on the exit of Old Hall Corner and collected the Plato Racing Mercedes A35 Saloon of Adam Morgan on the run down The Avenue!
Further back saw Cammish get away well too, but having to take swift action to avoid Gordon Shedden’s slow-moving Toyota which had a driveshaft failure.

Racing resumed on the fifth lap in what was now an 18-lap race, with both Cammish and Sutton gaining a position each as Osborne defended the attacks of a charging Ricky Collard (Team Vertu Hyundia i30N) up ahead. Collard did get by the Ford at Hislops, as Tom Ingram got by both Cammish and Osborne by the sixth lap.

Lewis Selby was fighting with the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N of Tom Chilton while defending the advances of Aiden Moffat, before Chilton took too much kerb at Dentons and collected the Ford Focus Titanium to take them both out of the race.

Once the Safety Car peeled off the track following a clean-up, the remaining three Napa Racing UK Fords were embroiled in a five-lap sprint to the chequered flag. Osborne’s Ford was struggling by this point, as Sutton, Dexter Patterson, and Dan Rowbottom all got passed and the number 77 Ford eventually dropped down to thirteenth at the finish line.

Ash Sutton was deep in a battle with Aiden Moffat, Dexter Patterson, Chris Smiley, and Dan Rowbottom and finished in a hard-fought ninth place, as Dan Cammish saw the flag in a solid fourth.

At the end of another day of frantic BTCC racing, Ash Sutton remains at the head of the Drivers’ Championship table with 220 points. Dan Cammish’s solid weekend saw him in third with 160 points, as both Sam Osborne (17th) and Lewis Selby (19th) remain close together with 32 and 17 points respectively.

The duo are also close together in the fight for the Jack Sears Trophy, with Osborne in third on 166 points and Selby in fifth with 129 points.

Alliance Racing/Ford lead the Manufacturer/Constructors Championship table with 387 points, while Napa Racing UK sits top of the Teams Championship with 334 points.

The Napa Racing UK squad now enjoys the mid-summer break until racing resumes at the excellent Thruxton circuit on the 25-26th of July.

At 2.97-miles, the Snetterton 300 includes the longest lap of the season. And the weekend saw
extremely hot temperatures for Rounds seven, eight, and nine.

This year’s JCW MINI Challenge racecars have been upgraded and refreshed to align closely with the latest Gen. 3 F56 MINI Hatch, which the official MINI Challenge website claims”…brings a modernised look and enhanced structural performance” for the drivers.

Napa Racing UK duo, Joe Tanner and Cameron Richardson, both finished outside the top ten on Saturday’s un-televised race (Round 7) which was won by EXCLER8 Driver Development Programme driver Josh Porter.

Race Two (Round 8)

Sunday’s first Power Maxed MINI Challenge race (Round 8) was the usual Reversed Grid Race, which saw Cameron Richardson line up 11th on the grid and Joe Tanner in 20th place.

As the 20-minute race got underway, Richardson dropped down a couple of places while Tanner managed to remain in place as the field raced through Riches.

The latter was up into eighteenth by the second lap, after getting by SBR Motorsport’s Anthony Sullivan before Will Crooks (EXCLER8 Motorsport) caught a Kwik Fit banner across his MINI’s nose which overheated the engine.

Lap four saw Tanner overtake Pro Alloys Racing driver Ned Anthony, before getting by Cemil Cipa (EXCLER8 Motorsport) on the run through the Bomb Hole and Coram section.

Up ahead, teammate Richardson defended well from Owen Hillman (Pro Alloys Racing), as Tanner closed in following his eighth-lap pass on Chris MacKenzie (Bitcoin Racing).

With Archie Johnson (Jamsport Racing UK) joining the battle, both him and Hillman got by Richardson after the Napa Racing UK driver had a brief excursion off-track. However, he got a place back to take the chequered flag in thirteenth place.

Joe Tanner finished two places behind his teammate in an exciting race, which Charlie Hand (BPC Motorsport) won.

Race Three (Round 9)

The third and final Power Maxed MINI Challenge 20-minute race (Round 9) of the weekend saw Cameron Richardson line up in 12th place, alongside teammate Joe Tanner in 13th.

The latter got the better getaway as the lights went out, and he leapfrogged Richardson to position the number 11 Napa Racing UK MINI in eleventh place. Meanwhile, Richardson found himself down in fourteenth place before Pro Alloys Racing driver Sam Gornall got by the number 15 further round the opening lap.

Ned Anthony (Pro Alloys Racing) relegated Richardson further back on lap two, before EXCLER8 Motorsport driver Will Crooks also got past. Up ahead meanwhile saw Tanner lose out to Gornall, leaving him to fight for his position with Jamsport Racing UK driver Archie Johnson while looking to challenge previous race winner Charlie Hand (BPC Motorsport) for a top ten finish.

However, Tanner ran out of time/laps and saw the chequered flag in a solid eleventh place. Teammate Richardson continued to fall backwards sadly. Cemil Cipa (EXCLER8 Motorsport) got by on the penultimate lap to see Richardson finish sixteenth. But, Jamsport Racing UK driver Johnson was hit with a penalty, which promoted Richardson to 16th place in a race that was won by Josh Porter (EXCLER8 Driver Development Programme).

As the dust settled on another busy Power Maxed MINI Challenge racing, Joe Tanner occupies 11th place in the JCW Drivers’ Championship table with 278. Cameron Richardson sits right behind his teammate in 12th with 269 points. Tanner also occupies second place with 450 points in the JCW Directors Cup, while Napa Racing UK sits in fifth place with 547 points in the JCW Teams Championship table.

At 2.97-miles, the Snetterton 300 includes the longest lap of the season. And the weekend saw
extremely hot temperatures for Rounds seven, eight, and nine of the campaign.

Saturday’s Qualifying Session saw Napa Racing UK trio Dan Cammish, Lewis Selby, and Sam Osborne in Group One, while Ash Sutton was placed in Group Two. The championship leader registered a best time of 1:55.664, which was good enough for fourth place in his group despite only having one second of boost available per qualifying lap. Meanwhile in the other group, Dan Cammish finished in third position with a time of 1:55.609. Sam Osborne set a best time of 1:56.101 (7th) and Lewis Selby set a time of 1:56.150 (8th).

Those times translated to fifth place on the Race To Pole grid for Dan Cammish; eighth place for Ash Sutton; 13th for Sam Osborn, and 15th place for Lewis Selby.

RACE TO POLE (8 Laps)

The Race To Pole saw Sam and Lewis both armed with twenty seconds of boost available per lap, while Dan had eight seconds available and Ash just the solitary second. All four Napa Racing UK Ford Focus Titaniums were booted up with the soft tyre compound for this eight-lap race.

Ash got ahead of Dan on the opening lap, before gaining four more positions which saw the number 116 Ford get by the Team Vertu Hyundia i30Ns of Tom Ingram and Tom Chilton to start the second lap in third place. Meanwhile, Dan started lap two in fifth, Sam in twelfth, but Lewis dropped a couple of places to find himself in 17th.

The third lap saw Ash head off track before Murrays with a puncture, which saw him head straight into the pits. That promoted the remaining three Ford Focus Titaniums up a position, but Lewis was hit by Mikey Doble’s Audi A3 Saloon which left the number 15 Ford at the back of the grid.

Dan was embroiled in a battle with the two Hyundias of Ingram and Chilton by the sixth lap, as Lewis was doing something similar further behind to fight for 16th with Nic Hamilton and Mikey Doble. Ash did return to the track, but pulled off into the pits again after a lap. He did return to action again and took the chequered flag in twentieth place.

After eight laps, Dan saw the chequered flag in a solid fourth place, Sam finished in the top ten, and Lewis finished 17th.

RACE 1 (12 Laps)

Sunday saw the drivers having to deal with extremely high temperatures throughout, especially inside their cars. Yet despite that, the day’s racing would witness the unusual event of no Safety Car interruptions whatsoever! That meant that all three races ran smoothly and to the official twelve laps per race.

The day’s racing saw the four Napa Racing UK Fords line up as follows: Dan Cammish started fourth with five laps of boost available; Sam Osborne started tenth with ten laps of boost available; Lewis Selby started 16th with ten laps of boost available, and Ash Sutton started 21st with just one lap of boost available. He chose this opening race to use the less-favoured medium tyre compound, while his three teammates were on the soft tyres.

The number 116 Ford Focus Titanium was the first to improve positions during the opening exchanges of the race, as Ash guided his racer up eight places to start the second lap in 13th! By the end of the second lap, Ash had passed the Audi A3 Saloon of Mikey Doble and set after teammate Sam Osborne. Meanwhile, Dan Cammish was fighting hard with the Toyota Corolla GR Sport of Josh Cook while defending vigorously from the BMW 330i M Sport of Daryl De Leon.

Lap three saw both Sam and Ash get by Adam Morgan, while Lewis Selby was fighting hard with Dexter Patterson (Audi A3 Saloon) for fifteenth place. The number 15 Ford Focus Titanium eventually got up into the points by the seventh lap, while up ahead Dan was putting in a brilliant defensive display to keep De Leon behind while putting Josh Cook under pressure. However, the pace of the former’s BMW 330i M Sport proved to be too much for the number 27 Ford, as he got by on the race down the Bentley Straight.

Back at the other end, Lewis managed to get by both Gordon Shedden (Toyota Corolla GR Sport) and Mikey Doble (Audi A3 Saloon) on the ninth lap to finish the race in thirteenth place. Meanwhile, Sam and Ash took the chequered flag in tenth and eleventh respectively, while Dan Cammish came home in fifth.

However, a mechanical issue which generated overboost during the final three corners of the race meant that Sam’s Ford Focus Titanium was eventually disqualified. That meant that he would start the second race at the back of the grid.

RACE 2 (12 Laps)

Race Two saw trio Ash Sutton, Lewis Selby, and Sam Osborne all have the full quota of ten laps worth of boost available, as they started in 10th, 12th, and 21st respectively. Dan Cammish started in fifth position and, once again only had five laps of boost available to him. He used the soft tyre compound for this race, as did Ash and Lewis, while Sam was on the medium tyres.

At the start, Dan got by Josh Cook on the run through Hamilton and Oggies, while further down Sam got past both Max Buxton (Speedworks Corolla Racing Toyota Corolla GR Sport) and Nic Hamilton (Team Vertu Hyundia i30N). Ash also gained a place, before overtaking Tom Chilton’s Hyundia i30N on the run through Coram and Murrays.

Ash then won a drag race with the Dan Rowbottom on the Senna Straight to edge into 6th place on lap four, while Dan Cammish was swarming all over the rear bumper of Daryl De Leon’s WSR BMW 330i M Sport. He eventually got by on the Bentley Straight on the fifth lap, before Ash got by Ricky Collard and De Leon in a brilliant overtaking move on the Senna Straight to enter Riches in fourth place.

That soon became third and the podium when he pulled off another lovely pass, this time on teammate Cammish, on the run down the Bentley Straight and into the Nelson corner on the next lap, before he despatched Charles Rainford at Riches on lap seven to claim second place.

Meanwhile, Dan Cammish reeled in Rainford while defending from the lively Ricky Collard to take third place on the seventh lap. Further back meanwhile, Chris Smiley dropped Lewis Selby back to 13th while Sam Osborn was fighting with Nic Hamilton further back on the struggling medium tyres.

Tom Ingram locked up his Team Vertu Hyundia i30N’s front tyres at the Wilson hairpin to gift Ash the lead on lap eight, while Dan lost a brief second place to Ricky Collard. Sadly, the number 27 Ford Focus Titanium was out of boost by lap nine, and was coming under pressure from Tom Chilton who eventually got by.

Ash went on to take the chequered flag in first place to claim his fourth win of the season, and his 51st BTCC victory. He also took the fastest lap of the race, as Dan came home in fourth place. Lewis brought his Ford home in 11th, while Sam saw the chequered flag in seventeenth.

RACE 3 (12 Laps)

The final race of the weekend was the usual reverse grid race, which saw previous race winner Ash start in seventh. He was on the soft tyres again and had the one lap of boost at his disposal.

Dan Cammish started fourth with the medium tyre compound and four laps of boost, while Lewis Selby started 11th with the medium tyres and ten laps of boost. Sam Osborn started in seventeenth place. However, his Napa Racing UK Ford Focus Titanium was now fitted with the soft tyres and had the full quota of ten laps worth of boost available as well.

By the third lap, Sam was up into the points (15th) while Lewis sadly went backwards to end up behing Max Buxton in 21st place. At the other end of the grid, Ash had already got past Ricky Collard and Tom Chilton to move into fifth place.

The number 116 Ford Focus Titanium soon got by teammate Dan Cammish, before overtaking Rowbottom’s Plato Racing Mercedes A35 Saloon on the outside of Riches on lap five. But, as teammate Dan tried to follow suit, the number 27 Ford got boxed in by Rowbottom which enabled Charles Rainford to sneak past.

However on lap six, Dan used his boost wisely to blast by both Rainford and Rowbottom to enter Riches in fourth place before losing out to the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N of Tom Chilton on the run down the Bentley Straight!

Sam was having a good dice with Aiden Moffat and Josh Cook, as the trio chased after Aron Taylor-Smith (Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport Toyota Corolla GR Sport) for the last few points-paying positions.

On the seventh lap, Ash relieved Adam Morgan of second place and then had a superb battle with race leader Gordon Shedden. Meanwhile, having run out of boost and with the medium tyres struggling, Dan Cammish began dropping down the field to eventually finish in ninth place.

Sam Osborne saw the chequered flag in thirteenth, while Lewis Selby finished 20th. Ash Sutton meanwhile, had a brilliant tussle with Gordon Shedden and would see the chequered flag in second place.

After nine races completed, Ash Sutton remains in first place in the Drivers Championship with 174 points, while Dan Cammish is fourth with 99 points. Sam Osborn sits in eighteenth with 30 points and Lewis Selby is nineteenth with 14 points. Sam has 117 points and third place in the Jack Sears Trophy table, while Lewis sits in fourth place with 116 points.

Alliance Racing lead the Manufacturer/Constructor table with 291 points, and Napa Racing UK lead the Teams table with 247 points.

Next up on the calendar sees the BTCC travel to Cheshire, where the series tackles the lovely Oulton Park circuit for Rounds 10, 11, and 12.

The Scottish round of the championship will once again see NAPA Racing UK proudly support the charity, founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to accelerate global research in the search for a cure for dementia. Since beginning its partnership with Race Against Dementia in 2023, NAPA Racing UK has raised more than £80,000 to support the charity’s vital work, a figure the team is determined to grow further during this milestone year, as Race Against Dementia celebrate their 10th anniversary.

NAPA Racing UK is calling on supporters to design a one-off race helmet to be worn during the Knockhill weekend. Entrants are challenged to create a bold, eye-catching design that incorporates three key elements: the Race Against Dementia brand and message, the NAPA brand and colours, and a distinctive Scottish twist. The aim is to produce a helmet that stands out on track while reflecting the significance of Race Against Dementia’s decade of impact.

Six standout designs will be selected, one for each NAPA Racing UK driver competing at Knockhill. In an added twist, winning designs will not be allocated to specific drivers; instead, helmets will be randomly assigned, encouraging entrants to create a concept that would suit any of the team’s drivers. The chosen designs will be professionally produced by Rennat Design, who are based at Knockhill, and worn across both Saturday and Sunday of the Knockhill race weekend, helping to shine a spotlight on the charity partnership.

Knockhill is always a highlight of the racing calendar, and with its proud Scottish setting, it provides the perfect backdrop to celebrate both national pride and a cause founded by one of Scotland’s most iconic sporting figures. Our BTCC drivers, though still leading the championship, found themselves in a weekend of mixed conditions and mixed results. With the sun shining on Saturday, all four of our drivers finished in the top 15 to score points with Ash Sutton and Dan Cammish taking to the podium in 1st and 3rd.

On the other hand, a cold and gloomy Sunday made for a day of highs and lows, with Ash Sutton continuing a run of podiums in every race of the season. The other three did not have luck on their side as the rain came out, and the track became greasy.

Race 1 — Sutton Hits 50 Wins

Ash Sutton opened the day in perfect style, converting pole into a controlled and clinical victory — his 50th BTCC win, achieved in greasy, rain‑threatened conditions.

• Sutton launched cleanly and managed the early safety‑car interruption after Adam Morgan’s off.
• Ricky Collard briefly snatched the lead, but Sutton immediately countered with a decisive move at Surtees.
• Dan Cammish ran strongly in the sister NAPA Ford, battling inside the top four before a late‑race shuffle.
• Sutton’s pace and composure delivered a flag‑to‑flag‑style win, marking a major milestone for both driver and team.

Race 2 — Sutton Fights to P2 in the Chaos

Race 2 unfolded in classic Brands Hatch drizzle — unpredictable, slippery, and incident‑filled.

• Sutton led early from pole but was shuffled back as Ricky Collard attacked and Charles Rainford applied pressure.
• Contact between Ingram and Sutton at Clark Curve cost momentum, but Sutton regrouped superbly.
• Árón Taylor‑Smith’s charge from P13 stole the headlines, but Sutton’s measured drive secured P2, keeping NAPA’s points haul strong.

• Strong mid‑pack recovery pace from Osborne and Cammish before late‑race incidents.

Race 3 — Sutton Charges to Second

Starting seventh in the reverse‑grid finale, Sutton delivered one of the drives of the day.

• A bold outside move at Paddock Hill immediately launched him into podium contention.
• He then engaged in a fierce but clean battle with Mikey Doble for third, eventually securing P2 behind race‑winner Tom Ingram.
• The result capped a weekend of relentless pace and consistency.

MINI CHALLENGE JCW

Across the paddock, the MINI Challenge boys had an equally challenging weekend. Joe Tanner had a strong start, taking P4 in Race 1 and carrying that momentum into Race 2. Race 3 saw an unfortunate DNF as the number 11 found himself in the gravel.

Cam Richardson had a consistent weekend, finishing in the teens across all three races and securing himself more championship points. He is looking to take learnings from the weekend and come back stronger at Snetterton (23-24 May).
