The 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship arrived in North Yorkshire, with Rounds 22, 23, and 24 taking place on the challenging 2.13-miles Croft circuit.
Saturday’s Qualifying Session saw Ash Sutton with his usual one second of boost available per lap. Dan Cammish had five seconds, while both Sam Osborne and Lewis Selby had the full 20 seconds per lap at their disposal.
Cammish and Osborne were placed in the first of the qualifying groups, and set best times of 1:20.866 (1st) and 1:21.346 (7th) respectively. Over in Group Two meanwhile, Sutton set a best time of 1:20.957 (3rd) and Selby set a time of 1:21.576 (9th). That translated to Cammish (2nd), Sutton (5th), Osborne (14th), and Selby (17th) on the Race To Pole grid.
The stewards were extremely busy throughout the weekend at Croft, as many drivers exceeded track limits. Dan Cammish was one such driver to get a penalty during his qualifying run, which initially dropped him to fifth on the RTP grid. However, a swift appeal from the Napa Racing UK crew resulted in the number 27 Ford Focus Titanium get reinstated.

RACE TO POLE (11 Laps)
Saturday’s Race To Pole was an uninterrupted 11-lap charge, which started brightly before turning into a rather processional run to the chequered flag. The starting grid saw the four Napa Racing UK Ford Focus Titaniums line up in second (Dan Cammish), fifth (Ash Sutton), fourteenth (Sam Osborne), and 17th (Lewis Selby). All were on the soft tyres and both Osborne and Selby had the full quota of twenty seconds of boost per lap available. Sutton had his usual solitary second, while Cammish had five seconds per lap at his disposal.
The start saw both Cammish, Sutton, and Selby get away well, but Osborne dropped down to 17th place. Sutton was up into the podium places by the time he reached the Jim Clark Esses, having passed the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N of Tom Ingram and the Power Maxed Racing Audi A3 Saloon of Mikey Doble.
Doble lost power on the second lap which promoted Selby into 14th, but Osborne fell another place while Cammish and Sutton were swarming all over the back of Josh Cook’s Speedworks Corolla Racing Toyota GR Sport.
However, no further progress would be made by the Napa Racing UK Fords, as Dan Cammish took the chequered flag in a comfortable second with Ash Sutton behind him. Lewis Selby finished 14th, while Sam Osborne finished in 18th place.

RACE 2 (15 Laps)
Round 23 saw Ash Sutton start in second place. He had two laps of boost available and had to use the less-favoured hard tyres. His teammates were all on the soft tyres with Dan Cammish (4 laps of boost) starting 4th, Sam Osborne (10 laps of boost) starting 15th, and Lewis Selby (10 laps of boost) starting from 18th.
The start was a mixed event for the team, with Sutton getting by the Toyota Corolla GR Sport of Josh Cook on the outside at Tower Bend to take a lead that he wouldn’t relinquish. Osborne also got away well to jump up to eleventh by the end of the opening lap.
In contrast, Cammish got swamped at the start as his hard tyres struggled for grip. He’d find himself down in 8th place by lap three, while Selby had another excursion off of the circuit to drop to the back end of the field.
Lap five saw Osborne have to pit, while Selby was in 17th and fighting with Dexter Patterson. Cammish meanwhile was involved in an exciting battle with Aiden Moffat (Audi A3 Saloon) and the WSR BMW 330i M Sport of Charles Rainford. The number 27 Ford Focus Titanium got by Rainford at Sunny In (lap 5), before then taking sixth place off of Josh Cook on the pit straight (lap 6).
Cammish overtook Ingram on lap nine, although he did unintentionally tap the Team Vertu Hyundia i30N driver off of the track. Selby was fighting with Daryl De Leon (WSR BMW 330i M Sport) and got by at the final hairpin, however he remained 16th because Chris Smiley (Restart Racing Hyundia i30N) sneaked past the squabbling pair!
Up front meanwhile saw Sutton pull out a 4.7 lead over the Mercedes A35 Saloon of Dan Rowbottom, who had also been hit with a five-second penalty for exceeding track limits! Sadly, Sutton’s teammate Selby was also given such a penalty just as he lost out to the BMW of De Leon (lap 13).
Osborne eventually saw the chequered flag in 18th place, ahead of Nic Hamilton (Team Vertu Hyundia i30N), while Selby finished one place ahead of his teammate. Cammish finished in a hard-fought fourth, as Sutton took another excellent victory to score his sixteenth podium finish of the season. The win was his eighth of the campaign and the 55th BTCC win of his career.

RACE 3 (18 Laps)
The third and final race of the weekend was the usual Reversed Grid Race. Dan Cammish started seventh (hard tyres and 4 laps of boost), Ash Sutton tenth (soft tyres and 1 lap of boost), Lewis Selby 17th (hard tyres), and Sam Osborne in 18th place (soft tyres). Both Selby and Osborne had the full ten laps of boost at their disposal.
The start proved to be a nightmare for the Napa Racing UK crew, with three of the Fords involved in opening lap clashes. Cammish got too high on the curb at Clervaux, which threw his Ford Focus Titanium into the innocent Ricky Collard (Team Vertu Hyundia i30N). Sutton also got caught up in the accident, while Aron Taylor-Smith found himself off track only to bounce back onto the tarmac and collect Selby’s Ford!
The Safety Car was obviously deployed, as Sutton and Cammish pitted for repairs. The latter returned albeit a lap down, Sutton on the other hand was able to return to set the fastest lap (lap 12) before retiring his Ford.
Once racing resumed on lap seven (of a now 18-lap race) Osborne was in 15th, Selby 17th, and Cammish at the back of the field. And by lap nine, Osborne had despatched Nic Hamilton, Daryl De Leon, and Lewis Gilbert to find himself up inside the top twelve.
When Tom Ingram and Dan Rowbottom both suffered separate incidents, Osborne was up into ninth place just as Selby overtook Nick Halstead (Power Maxed Racing Audi A3 Saloon) for 17th (lap 10).
Osborne then forced his way past the BMW of Charles Rainford, before losing out to Lloyd (Restart Racing Hyundia i30N) and pulling into the pits with damage on the 14th lap. Sadly, that’s where Osborne’s frustrating weekend came to an end.
Lewis Selby got by Rainford on lap 15 and would then take the chequered flag to finish 14th, after Hamilton and a few other drivers were penalised for track limit offences. Dan Cammish, meanwhile, finished in a disappointing 18th place.
After another busy weekend of racing and panel bashing (in traditional BTCC style), Ash Sutton leads the Drivers’ Championship from teammate Dan Cammish with 424 points to 309 points. Sam Osborne sits in 18th with 62 points, and Lewis Selby 19th with 37 points.
Alliance Racing/Ford lead the Manufacturers/Constructors Championship with 733 points, and Napa Racing UK lead the Teams Championship with 637 points. Meanwhile in the Jack Sears Trophy table, Selby has 298 points (second) while Osborne has 251 points (fifth).
Next up sees the crew take on the Silverstone National Circuit for the penultimate group of races of the season.
