Nathan Tye has joined DRIVEX for his third season in the Spanish F4 Championship. He has also secured Wera Alliance Racing Academy backing for his 2026 campaign.
Tye, a British Karting graduate, has had an impressive junior career and already competed in two seasons racing in Spanish F4.
Seventeen-year-old Tye made significant strides in the karting world. His journey began in 2020 as British Vice Champion, but it was in 2022 that he built on his success by winning the Champions of the Future Euro Series in the OK Junior class. He also claimed a victory in the FIA Karting European Championship and secured third place in the overall standings.
Tyeโs transition to senior karting was equally impressive. He finished third in the WSK Open Cup, fourth in the WSK Final Cup, and third in the Rotax Max Challenge Asia Festival. In 2023, he continued to compete at a high level, finishing eighth in the Champions of the Future series and tenth in the European Championship.
The 2024 season saw Tye make his single-seater debut in the Spanish F4 Championship with Campos Racing. Despite his rookie status, he managed to secure multiple top 10 finishes, several rookie podiums and two second places gaining invaluable experience ahead of his sophomore season in the sport. He then moved on to Rodin Motorsport where he continued his impressive form with 7th place finish overall in the Championship.
With all the experience he has gained Nathan is looking to become a regular podium challenger in his third season:
โIโm incredibly proud to have been selected as a driver & ambassador for the WERA Alliance Academy this year. Itโs a great honour to be part of a group that is focused on developing drivers at a high level, and Iโm really motivated to make the most of this opportunity. Competing in F4 allows me to race on an international stage against some of the strongest young talent, which is exactly the environment I want to be in to keep pushing myself forward. My goal is to keep improving, deliver strong performances, and represent the academy professionally as an ambassador both on and off the track.โ
ย Alliance Racing Team Principle Pete Osborne had this to say:
โIโm so pleased to continue working with Nathan and his family. Iโve been a keen supporter of Nathan from a young age and his progression to Formula 4 has been remarkable.
Nathan and his family put so much effort & dedication into his motorsport, so itโs great to see that being rewarded on and off track. Especially in the style of last weekends dominant performance!
What weโre doing at the academy is so much more than just sponsorship; it highlights a genuine grassroots pathway from karting to professional motorsport and Nathan is a great example of that. Weโll be hoping for more results like last weekend now heโs set the bar so high!”
