WERA Alliance Racing Academy Race Report – Chase Fernandez

Chase Fernandez Donington GP
September 1, 2025

Wera Tools British F4 Championship
Donington Park GP
30-31 August

A weekend to forget for #90.
Various issues created a difficult qualifying environment for Chase. Regardless, he squeezed every last drop out of the situation and pushed the car to its absolute limit to get a P15. This put him back in the mid-pack for each race, but knowing that he could race forwards with his natural mega race pace if he could survive the usual midfield dramas.
In all the races he made his trademark mega-rocket launch off the line and started making progress up the grid before the inevitable happened within the first laps every time…

  • Race 1: Hit across the front by another car and forced to box for a new wing.
  • Race 2: Hit in the rear by another car, lifted off the ground and spun round to the back of the grid.
  • Race 3: Hit from above by another car that slammed down on the back ripping off his rear spoiler assembly and all the electrics. Forced to retire the car with too much damage.

It has been said that β€œif it weren’t for bad luck he wouldn’t have any luck at all!”but for Chase it isn’t about luck, or getting knocked down- it’s about the determination and strength it takes to get back up and straight back into the fight. Stronger than ever. Silverstone is the next round for British F4 and Chase has had multiple wins there in Ginetta. It’s gonna be interesting
