Super One Championship Rounds 11 & 12, August 30/31 2025
7 final victories. 9 pole positions. 17 heat wins. With a 2025 season for the ages, Felix Tandy, the eight year old bambino karting racer from Bedfordshire, has just grabbed his first major racing championship title, the historic and prestigious 2025 Super One Series.
Competed for across the nation, also attracting strong international entries, the Super One Series boasts previous champions such as Sir Lewis Hamilton, plus many more who have gone on to F1 world titles or Le Mans wins after graduating their karting journey. Wera Alliance Academy driver, Tandy, is the latest to add his name into the list of champions.
Starting the season at Rowrah circuit, in Cumbria, Felix began strongly with wins in the first two races of the championship, plus the Round 2 final. Next up came rounds 3 and 4 at Glen Y Gors in North Wales, with another two pole positions and the round 4 final victory.
Clay Pigeon in Dorset saw the beginning of an incredible charge to the title for Felix. 17 straight victories, also comprising race weekends at Fulbeck circuit, Lincolnshire, plus Whilton Mill in Northants, meant the final two rounds at Shenintgon, Oxfordshire, would only require a solid weekend to wrap up the points table.
However Felix was in no mood to rest on his laurels. Spectacular pole positions for both rounds, and a further four victories across the weekend, including all three races in Round 12 on Sunday, capped off an incredibly consistent and successful season of racing.
Felix Tandy โI really enjoyed the last weekend battling with all my friends in the races. One race was wet, one race was dry, the next was wet so it was really interesting. I tried really hard to get the wins. To be the champion is great! Itโs not something I was expecting as this was my first year racing in Super One. Thank you so much to my team, to the Wera Alliance Academy guys and the other academy drivers for all their help and support, and to my mum and dad for helping me go racing.โ
Plans for Felix for the rest of this year are still to be decided, with numerous one off events available for competition. A move up in category, into the cadet class of karting for 8-12 year old racers, is also within his sights. Keep an eye out for any exciting news to come!
