Rachel Robertson had a strong car racing debut this weekend at Donington Park, competing in Round 1 of the Radical Cup UK with the Radical Racing Rebels.

Transitioning from karting to a Radical SR3 XXR, Rachel qualified in 5th and performed very consistently across all three races, finishing 5th in both sprints and 4th in the endurance race.

In Race 1, in near darkness after the sun had set, was relatively uneventful with Rachel focusing on getting the car round safely in the fading light.

Race 2 saw Rachel engage in some great on field battles, narrowly losing out on 4th position. Race 3 saw her up to third after some great overtakes before losing a position in the pits and finishing in 4th.

Speaking after the weekend Rachel had this to say – ”I was really pleased with my weekend’s work and I’m already looking forward to going even better next time out. “It was a really solid start to the season. Still plenty to work on I can’t wait to get back in the car at Brands Hatch for more testing and Round 2.”
