Silverstone National:
Qualifying P7 – on my fast lap the car decided not to go into gear on the final corner which meant we didn’t improve on the second set of tyres the lap was good enough for pole !
Race 1 – it rained whilst in the assembly area and then stopped but we decided to go with wets and we had a mega start and got into P4 but then the red flag came out and the track dried during that period ! Still finished P5 overall “P2 in pro class” and first of the wet runners.
Race 2 – Had another really good start making our way into P4 with our eyes firmly set on the top 3 but the red flag came out and the race was cut short with serious barrier damage
Race 3 – knowing we have had the pace all weekend I wanted to showcase that in race 3 I knew the start would be critical so we made a move into turn 1 on lap one and had contact on the front left which damaged the car but we pushed through and caught up to the front two and pressured them throughout the race but couldn’t quite get through !
Overall it’s been a good weekend it’s the most comfortable I have felt in the car just a shame we couldn’t showcase that due to no faults of our own , we have closed the championship down to 19 points so it’s all to play for at Brands Hatch for the final!
Well done to all my academy team mates and let’s go for one more final push !
