Round 4 MSUK British Bambino Kart Championship

PF International, June 13/14 2025

Five victories, from pole position, saw Wera Alliance Academy driver Felix Tandy take his first Final victory in this year’s British Bambino Kart Championship, along with a perfect 200 point score from winning all heat races, to move within 3 points of the championship lead.

The super fast and spectacular PFi circuit in Lincolnshire played host to round 4 of the series, with 21 of the fastest bambino class drivers taking part, all aiming to grab the trophies on Sunday afternoon.

Felix set the tone for the weekend early on Saturday morning, placing his RCE team kart on pole position after setting the fastest lap in qualifying, with a gap of over three tenths of a second to the rest of the field.

Saturday’s two heats played out very different types of races, but a similar winner. Heat one saw Felix manage to get a gap and break the all important slipstream, cruising to a near six second victory margin in the seven lap race. Heat two was a much closer affair, a group of six young racers battled throughout but no one could stop Bedfordshire driver Tandy from adding to his earlier triumph.

Two Superheats on Sunday would also provide championship point scoring opportunities. Race one was again led away by Tandy, who controlled the race masterfully with another lights to flag win, narrowly beating his team mate in the #21 kart. Superheat two featured a great scrap at the front with the E plate kart, Tandy, battling the whole race with again the #21 and the #3. Third position into the last few corners of the final lap, Felix was able to make perfect passes on both rivals to steal the win across the line.

The Final started again with a group of karts slipstreaming around together, Tandy being the leader of the pack. As the race wore on, Felix upped the pressure with constant fast laps and managed to break the field up. Battles behind him for the rest of the places were aplenty, but no one could match the pace of Felix, crossing the line a quarter of a second in front.

With two more rounds to come in the championship, Felix has moved up to second position, just three points shy the lead.

The next round comes from the picturesque Rowrah circuit in Cumbria on 19/20 July.
