Wera Tools British F4 Round 5
Oulton Park
21st-22nd June 2025
A strong weekend saw Chase Fernandez return to the podium this weekend at round 5 of the Wera Tools British F4 Championship.
A superb performance in qualifying on Saturday morning for his best result yet this season. Chase took P3 for both races 1 and 3 over the weekend.
The first race on Saturday ended quickly as clutch issues brought the car to a stall on the start line. Chase was unable to restart the car before being hit by a car accelerating from behind on the grid. Luckily he wasnβt seriously injured and the car was recovered back to the team for repairs.
On Sunday the second race of the weekend our academy driver started from 10th on a grid of reversed positions for the front 12 drivers. A decent start in slippery conditions, making places off the line but a three-car wide run through turn 1 clipped the front wing causing an early pit stop for a replacement at the end of the first lap. Gaining on the pack throughout the race to close the gap Chase brought it over the line in P18.
The final race of the weekend on Sunday afternoon gave Chase another P3 grid start. Battles fought, places gained and lost throughout, a consistent fast pace brought the number 90 car past the chequered flag in third place. A most deserved and well earned return to the podium for Wera Alliance driver Chase Fernandez and another trophy for the collection!
