NAME – Will Jenkins
AGE – 20
HOME TOWN – Stone, Staffordshire
RACE NUMBER – 30
How did you start racing? My racing career began very early on motorcross bikes aged 6 and then moved up into club level Karting aged 10.
I then progressed up to British championship Karting before taking part in the Ginetta Junior scholarship at 14. That was the start of my car racing career.
What did you do in 24? In 2024 we had a very successful year in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB championship competing in the 718 Cayman GT4 RS
Notable results? Our notable results include winning at Silverstone in mixed conditions on slicks in the rain. Then taking 4 wins on the bounce to finish the year with all 3 wins at Brands Hatch.
What results are you most proud of? The results I am most proud of include, doing the triple at Brands Hatch GP in 2024 with all 3 wins. And then this year with the support of the Wera Alliance Racing Academy competing in the prestigious Porsche Carrera Cup Championship is beyond a dream come true! Now I can’t wait to get out there and show what we can do!
Why the Wera Academy? Wera Academy is a fantastic opportunity and a privilege to be a part of. It has allowed me to take the leap to the professional stage of my career and allowed me to develop all aspects of being a professional driver. The support from Pete, Ian and the whole team is invaluable and I can’t wait to grow with the academy as I continue my career!
What do you do outside of racing? Outside of racing I enjoy all sports and general fitness activities like running and going to the gym. I enjoy modifying and rebuilding cars such as my new road car I bought as a crashed damaged and rebuilt. Ontop of all the training, Sim work and data analysis that’s part of the job!
What are your goals for 25? My Goals for the 2025 season are clear. We know we have a huge amount to learn as it’s an extremely hard car to drive, very different from my previous experience and one of the most competitive series in the UK, but I know I have the support behind me so I want to be rookie champion and be fighting for overall wins this year.
